Took my Daughter to Ragley Hall
We took my 14 year old daughter to Ragley Hall near Alcester for her first Experience Day. She got to drive a tiger striped Evoke with a very good instructor. She now wants out Disco wrapped in tiger stripe!!!

Did part 1 of our first long haul. 520 miles from Bournemouth to Perth. Have done this journey many times before, it's never been so comfortable or easy. 4 peeps, 1 hound, with roof box @ 70mph - 28mpg . Very happy all round.
Part 2 tomorrow - the remaining 180 miles...

Had it's first MOT in the UK today, having just arrived from Sydney...and it passed..phew.
Now I just need to get it converted from kmh to mph so it can pass it's IVA too and then it will get registered and some shiny new number plates and we'll finally be able to drive it places here!!
...assuming i can get the sat nav to accept the uk disc that is!

Day off work = EGR replaced..
80k miles. Original Sagem unit replaced by Genuine LR unit (Valeo).
Many thanks to Disco Mikey for his "how to guide". My tips? I found the EGR outlet tube bolts were really badley corroded so order new ones (46p each!!), replaced the poxy T30 screws with proper bolts.
Total time taken-working on the drive, 4.5 hours-including the 20 mins stareing at the rear bolt wondering how the hell you are going to get that out and 15 mins retrieving the 1/4 drive extension from the sump guard gods!

Fitted a new mud-flap, repaired another and sealed up the stupid gaps that let mud get in behind them, refixed the ali trim to the off-side step and gave her a good clean inside and out.

Today I had a disco on.my dashboard and a barbecue on my alternator and battery topped off with a 4 hour wait for recovery of the car and tin tent. Have had better days. Will have to put the kids college fund off for another few months

Nothing radical: replaced a blown brake light bulb before it got a chance to start any of the reported high-jinks, and finally got round to re-attaching the release lever to the luggage cover.
Next up is an investigation of why I can't get the securing pin to retract far enough into the removable tow hitch to fit it.

Got a muddy bottom for the first time. Didn't get stuck. Didn't break anything. One hell of a car.
Only mistake? Not washing the mud off, but it will now look fab in the car park!
