Ours is manual, find it ok, but very agricultural... Reminds me of a Ford/Iveco Cargo I used to drive!

Having driven both.

I own an auto, it suits the car better and how I use the car.
I do lots of town driving and stop start stuff. Would hate a manual for that.

I would suggest you drive both and see what one you like better.

If I get manual withdrawal symptoms I take my MX5 out for a 'do'.

Nowt wrong with the manual, but the auto box totally transforms the D3.
