As you probably found out when installing, the LED bulbs generally have a polarity so the code was probably just stored when you put one of them (more likely lots of them) in the wrong way round for a few seconds. And like others have said, if the switch to the bulb is off, then it shouldn't be able to draw any current.
I don't see how a lamp could leak whilst it is not illuminated. If the interior lights are not on then there will be no voltage on the terminals the lamp connects to, therefore no current will flow, if there were a voltage across the terminals then the lamp would be on...
But I have had strange things happen on my XK with LED lamps glowing when car parked, locked with lights off...
These were Phillips lights with plastic bodies....not low cost but very very bright.
These work OK in the Disco.BREXIT - done properly.

Thanks guys, in the end it was just a knackered battery but as it was inside warranty, ECP supplied me with a brand new one. LEDs have been reinstalled! 8)-------------------------------------------------------------------

I had a funny thing on an Audi in which the reverse bulbs, which I had replaced with LEDs, would blink momentarily every 30 seconds or so. It was too do with the system checking the bulb hasn't blown but with LEDs it manifested as a flash...-------------------------------------------------------------------

Good to see LEDs being reinstalled. Taken one of mine out (front left map light) & replaced with the old filament type. Far too bright, was killing my night vision if I needed a light on when driving!!
