That is mainly because of

Oh don't! A friend of mine used to PDI and prepare new Reliants for the first customers and the stories of the "quality" of the paintwork from the factory was horrendous! Cars with "metallic" paint with no gloss and (sometimes) no metallic either!2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Hi John, I just blinked my eyes and noticed the listing of your cars.. ..you buy wholesale
..or are you a LR-dealer by any chance...
To relax your nerves on the reliant front, I found you this one... ...better matching colour..

And that was the only colour available to Landmark owners. No greens. No blues. No reds. Nothing!
Why?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Yep, no matter what model, LRs colour palette is poor.
This still is my favourite LR colour Mauritius Blue, would have it on the D5 in a heartbeat

It's a very long story, but just an enthusiast (a much poorer enthusiast now!). However, I've driven nearly 200,000 miles between them
I remember my primary school caretaker getting one of those just as I was leaving. Reliant got Ogle Design to do that one for them and it actually didn't look too bad, in a minimalist design sort of way. Still a horrible car though! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

@J77. I love that colour too.. ..and it has one big advantage for the Scots ;
just a cross on the door in white tape does the trick..
@John. Here new cars are priced beyond reason. So I always buy them 4-6 years old, after that they don't
depreciate that much anymore. For the D3 I pay โฌ 3000 pa in roadtax, for the FL2 โฌ 1800,- ..
I suspend the licenses on occasion, eg if the D3 is off to the Algarve for the summer...
There are talks about replacing all the taxes by roadpricing here.. .. that'll be the day !!!!

I had understood that we've got it relatively easy here, but those prices are just off the scale!2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
