I have to say, not a massive fan of the rear end either... bit of an eye sore! Actually though, I quite like the colour - maybe I just have odd taste

Does this mean the only thing the detractors can find wrong of the D5 is the colour?
It's a Namib Orange by the way
This is a more representative picture of colour

Jacobean Faun or Faustean Brown?
(Some radio ad I heard years ago - always thought those colours were amusing.)

Oh it's the 7 stages of denial/acceptance
Once we've got used to the more generic rounded looks, lack of split tailgate, removal of stepped roof, etc., then everyone will calm down. That's been part of the DNA for some time now and such a big thing has been made of these features, a lot of owners feel they've let the side down by removing those - but hey we've been round that block so many times already
By the time the noise quietens there will be a host of accessories to make them look more individual, more colours, some of the more innovative tech will be added and hopefully they're have moved on to the newer more advanced power plants too.
I've certainly warmed to elements of the design now. I still think it's a case of Emperor's new clothes at the moment but then the DS was launched the same way.
Let's face it, the D5 is there to entice new owners rather than existing owners as it offers precious little to an existing D4 owner but eventually LR know they will upgrade and when they do hope they pick them up naturally.
Have to say I've never known such a rush on people wanting to buy the last of an outgoing model rather than get the new one.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Unlikely to affect me for a very long time - at £28k, my second hand D4 was the most expensive car I've ever owned, and I'm very unlikely to spend that again anytime soon.
Unless you total up the servicing and maintenance bills.....

My issue is this bit. It's enormous...

the only colors that kind of work are black because it hides the ugly of it. Grey makes it more up to date or silver makes it more modern.
