Gents,

The deed is done!

New baby left with LR specialist for a full checkup, MOT, and mechanical fixes.

Then it will be onto the spa for some TLC and optional extras (CarPlay?).

Rather excited but wallet already feeling light... Very Happy

United States 2005 Discovery 3 4.4 V8 SE Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

Replace coolant air bleed valve they tend to crack due to age, check sunroof drains for leaks or rotting ends by floor boards. Due Diff's & TC oil service. Check thermostat housing plastic connecting pipe to engine for small crack slow coolant leak. Check warped cowl over pollen filter duct for water leak.

Does it have the same auto box as the diesel? If so I'd consider a full gearbox flush before too long.Ignore LR stating that its 'sealed for life' as ZF say fluid should be replaced at 70,000 miles Dave
