Cheers Wiggs, got them, mmmmmmm, now I am not too sure, as it seems that the headrest legs seem to live where the screens may go - didn't really want to pull out the seats, rather do the job with them in situe.

Might have to have a good look at them at the weekend and then decide.......as not sure what you actually attach the screens onto, or whether it is more like a clamp onto the leather around the edges??

I went for the cheaper option of the tie-on ones , but got the detachable version, i,e, you leave the velcro and bracket on the car and just slide the unit onto it when you need it. It still cost me about £250, so with the prices you are talking about it may be better to go with the integrated version.

I also did it this way in case I ever wanted to put them on the back of the middle row so the people in the back row could watch, but of course have never used it that way !!!. Although thinking about it, if you have any little ones that are reluctant to go right in the back then it may pursuade them.

I did mount them so they were hanging down from the headrests and the headrests just seemed a little high for the small ones in the back.

My only concern would if they were on view all the time would some idiot smash a window and rip them out.

Make sure they are wired up so you have the option of one act as a slave off the other, with the sound going to the aux input on the stereo, you just missing the popcorn and Hot Dogs then !

I like the idea of putting it in the back of the seat, my onbly concern would be what size screen you could go up to and what else you could fit in there.. Drinks cabinet ? , Dartboard ???

What if you were to cut down the headreat posts ...its not like there ever gonna be raised up ..unless you remove the leather to release the clips then do away with the grab rails !!!

Gonna have a good mooch around in the back, as since he is still in a booster seat, not sure whether 'in the back of the seats' option might put the screens too low, so still have the option of the roof, as waiting for a guy to come back to me with prices on some nifty flip down screens, and need to find out where the A/C wires and pipes are too, so we shall see....

As the built in option was not available when I ordered my car. I decided to do this.

£89.00 for the twin screens and DVD player. £29.00 for the screen in the back. Plugged into the AUX input the kids then have the sound through the car speakers or headphones modules in the door (when we want a peaceful drive). I found putting the screens any lower even for the kids was a bit uncomfortable to watch.

OK not as neat as a built in system but certainly does the job. Very Happy
