various electrical issues after work done
Hoping to get some help with my Discovery 4. I have just got it back from my local landrover mechanic (not dealership) after having the front lower arms replaced, ARB bushes replaced and turbo drain tube modification fitted.
The first fault I noticed was the fuel gauge is working only intermittently. When it's not working it says there no fuel.
I then noticed the one touch window function is not working on all 4 windows. (Tried to reset this using advice from other threads on this site but no joy)
Also had a couple of glitches with the infotainment system, minor though and for the last 2 days been fine.
I haven't had any of these faults before.
I just wondered if this is a simple fix through a reset and are the issues likely to be linked to one problem. Or is it a freak coincidence?
Many thanks
Ross

I notice my front passenger window often stops one touch closing, resetting it works for a while. Hold the button to close the window, release once closed, then immediately hold the switch in the closed position again for a few seconds and it should work again.
The fuel gauge on mine stopped working and needed the tank to be removed and the floats (or whatever is inside) replaced. Take care though as drive too long without it working and the engine will stop regardless of how much fuel you have! You can restart it but it will only run for a few minutes at a time.
Edit: Apologies just noticed you'd tried the window reset!Andy

Thank you for your replies. I went out and had another go at the window reset and success!
The fuel gauge continues to work intermittently. Mechanic said he will look at it Monday so will see what comes of it
