Accident Repair Woes!
Apologies if this is in the wrong place...
Just got my 2010 D4 back from being repaired. Involved in a accident with a Clio travelling at speed - it basically drove into the offside rear wheel.
The repairer has replaced just about every suspension component on that corner. I think the only bits not changed were the disc and the caliper.
The tracking geometry report post repair shows everything within tolerances, but when you look at the corner, the wheel has a definite camber - I reckon maybe 3 or even 5 degrees
It's going to Land Rover for their opinion, but I'd be interested if anyone here has any ideas about what else could be bent.
After accident
After Repair
Dead Clio
Thanks
Philip

In the first picture it does look wrong, like you say it has some lean in at the top. The second picture it does not look so bad. A second opinion would set your mind at rest. That Clio came off worse!

Have you tried swapping the wheel with one of the other 3 or perhaps the spare if its the same.

Max tolerance for rear camber is -1.3 degrees. Looks not bad to me My D3 Build Thread
Maybe a silly remark, but how does it look at the other side?
I assume all the wheels have been re-aligned after the works as well...D4

It's a brand new wheel - replaced as part of the repair

I know but I think it's more - look at the second post repair picture - there's a fence post in the background as a vertical reference. I know there's a perspective shift, but it looks more like 3,4 or even 5 degrees to me.

I need to take a decent "behind" shot that shows both wheels, and has some reference point. The off-side is definitely more lent in than the near side.
I think the repairer just did the back end alignment.
Waiting on a booking with Land Rover so will see what they say. I don't know how tough the frames are, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was a kink in it now - the Clio was doing well over 30mph and accelerating.

A few years ago, a chap (lee0127) on here managed to bend a D3 chassis requiring it to be replaced, just by reversing a rear wheel forceably into a concrete slab Lets hope that hasn't happened, but it is a possibility. .........today's vehicle repairers.........wouldn't trust them at all TBH.D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. They've done a good job with the bodywork, but mechanically - i think they just unbolted the bent bits and replaced them. Big outfit too - trusted repairer to quite a few big name insurance companies.

Hope to find out tomorrow. Stupid repairer missed the appointment slot with LR so I had to wait another week. Will let you know.
