Rapid beeping after parking |
|
My D4 has started making a rapid beeping after parking. It is definitely an electronic sound rather than e.g. the exhaust cooling, and seem to come from under the car. I park in access mode, put the EPB on and climb out. Beeping lasts about 5 seconds.
Any ideas?
Cheers

EPB. Try parking without applying the park brake and it probably won't do it. My MY2010 used to do it occasionally, never got to the bottom of it, didn't seem to cause any issues in the 2 years I had it. A search will reveal that others have had it on early D4s and no-one seems to know why.

My July 16 D4 does exactly this, has done from new regardless of temperature, weather, engine temperature, whether the EPB is on or off or the position of the suspension. It did concern me at first and I'll mention it the next time it is in the Dealers but it doesn't appear to be causing any harm.
