Happens where the past tense and past participle are the same as in sat/sitting and stood/standing but people would never confuse "I was driven" (past tense past participle) with "I was driving" (past tense present participle) where the past tense is "I drove".
The late and much-missed Sir Terry Wogan used to highlight it often by saying "I was sat sitting here..."

Watching Formula 1 on Sky, yes I know, very sad, but Paul Di Resta's grammar can be very poor.
He does the Scottish 'seen' and 'done' confusion perfectly.....
I think that's his ingrained Glasgow/West of Scotland spik. He's a fine lad but sometimes it grates. Stew,

I have serious problems with spelling and grammar no matter how much i concentrate. Im not daft but have really struggled with it throughout my life. some people especially the older generation really take issue with it but its not held me back (i think!).
this is why i love the edit button on the site, half the time i hit submit instead of preview but the other half ill read what I've written after checking it 10 times and still see it makes absolutely no sense MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I started writing a list of the words that grate with me when incorrectly used and it became that long I decided not to bother posting it.
Spelling mistakes don't usually bother me because we all make those.
Don't however get me onto using Brought instead of Bought because that is just desperately sad. Mods:

@ Erea - most of my typing looks like that. I find it easier to key bash and get down what it is I want to say, then sort it out afterwards.
I think that's all correctly spelled.
