G20 - Brexit talks.
Tough words from the US and Japan:
After her first bilateral meeting with Obama, May was warned that the US wanted to focus on trade negotiations with the EU and a bloc of pacific nations before considering a deal with the UK.
This was swiftly followed by a message from Japan to the UK that there could be a string of corporate exits from the UK unless some of the privileges that come with access to the single market are maintained.
The lengthy document from Tokyo gives a list of possible consequences of Brexit and a series of specific requests from Japanese businesses. About half of Japanese investment in the EU comes to the UK, including from companies such as Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nomura and Daiwa.

I haven't looked up the 15 page report, but it's summarised in this article in The Guardian:
I've every sympathy with Japan, why the would you want to continue to heavily invest in a country that was originally a portal to the rest of the EU, when you haven't got a clue what's now going on.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

DG, I think you'll like this if you haven't seen it already. You might have to remove it though. Rude words aplenty:

Agreed. According to them, our economy is booming. If only the Japanese and Americans were to read the Daily Express, they'd be as badly informed as the rest of the Daily Express readership and they would be happy as could be!

Well it's a long wait then given the fabulous progress made between the USA and EU so far
Oh and lame duck no red carpet Obama off to Hawaii in NovIllegitimi Non Carborundum
You're the ones wasting your time reading the Express...
The EU gave up on pioneering free trade long ago, the Japanese know it, and that's why they're so concerned about our departure.

"Reading" the Daily Express? I know it's not to be undertaken lightly, but Im sure you must be aware of the quote recommending that you "keep your friends close and your enemies closer still"?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

BBC Radio 4 News. August figures show, despite Treasury forecasts pre referendum, the service sector to be 'powering ahead'.
We're out, live with it. In ten years time we might just about have an idea of the impact.
In the mean time, to quote a well known and respected poster here.
so I move my mind on to the reality of the situation instead of moaning about it
Odd that, if positive news is reported, the Remainers claim they never said it would go tits up straight away yet any negative news and we get 'I told you so'.

That's our prerogative so as you say ...live with it
As for the quote... well sums up the dimness of some when they can interpret my acceptance of a product over which I have had neither the choice nor ability to influence in any way shape or form and will lose little sleep on regardless... to that of a life changing up imposed by others 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Before the referendum, I must have spent half a dozen or so hours reading about trade agreements. I sought out articles by authors who weren't political and had no agenda. Some of them were dated prior to the last general election.
The overwhelming factor was how complex and time consuming these deals were. I gave up before I really understood quite why they should take so long to come to fruition.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Here was me thinking that products were developed for customers' needs and desires. I can see why it fits in perfectly with your political leanings and views on the EU; as though influence only comes when explicitly granted, regulated and enforced by government and other organisations.
