This caught my eye:
"The 2017 Land Rover Discovery will be revealed at the Paris motor show later this month. When it goes on sale, the new model will be positioned further upmarket than today's car. The starting price is likely to increase from the £47,495 of the outgoing model and edge closer to the realms of the Range Rover Sport, which starts at £62,345."
It seems to indicate a starting price well north of £50k. Heading for the exit of so. Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Not that I could see (fold down flap).
But, on a +ve note, it's got reasonable sunroofs and the rear seats fold flat. However, the inside looks like a carbon copy of a Disco Sport, which isn't so good.
The DS interior ain't bad.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Plus think of all the sensors that will need to work properly so the seats aren't folded when little Johny is strapped in there. I can just imagine that's gonna happen when his big brother or little sister gets hold of the iPhone, or installs the app on theirs!!

What do you think?
Not having 3 full size seats in the middle row is a very poor decision IMO, not fussed about the tailgate but this is a real shame as it was one of the real strong points of the D3/4. In most other cars the centre seat is quite uncomfortable as it houses the armrest or access flap, ok so kids are probably not that bothered but adults would be.
An armrest is pointless and if you need access then fold down the middle seat.
Yeah, any worries of 7 seats becoming "5+2" are now washed away...and replaced with a fear of "4+3"...Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

I want to like the car but the absence of three same size middle row seats is something I don't understand. Quite often I carry a bike four up and the D4 works perfectly for that. Not sure the D5 works.2014MY Discovery

So you spend £47K on the "base waitrose car park version" and put the steel wheels on yourself?Disco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...
