Been a while since the old girl visited Guava, she's been positively r******e!! Shocked Shocked

She had the MOT done there a couple of weeks ago (she passed Shocked Shocked ) but they noted two leaking seals in the front diff. Decided that wasn't a wait and see thing as didn't want to grind diff in the ar$e end of nowhere in Finland or Norway this July, so it needed sorted.

Booked her in to get them done, changed day when I could get there at the last minute and they were fab about that even though they are chokka with work. Picked her up today and dropped off the D4 for her MOT on Thursday so double bonus as have a bit of extra room on the drive for a couple of days.

Bow down Bow down Bow down To Will, James and (just to confuse me) James. Bow down Bow down Bow down

Mine is going in in a couple of weeks for its 7 year service inc belts etc.

Think it's due there for a couple of days, and got a loaner booked. Did you see what they are giving out Del? I had an Ewoke last time. Wouldn't mind a D5 to try!

Afraid no idea re loaner. With another Disco and a Jazz at my personal disposables (plus SWMBO's Jazz in worst case senario) I tend not to bother with loaners. Whistle Thumbs Up

Just been back to Guava to pick up the D4. She passed the MOT with no advisories, a first for me in modern LR times!!! Shocked Whistle She is gleaming inside and out, looking like new. Fair difference in gleamingness since she hasn't been washed or hoovered since before I took ownership of her in September, apologies to anyone dazzled by her.

And spotted Buxter's RRS, very nice indee in a rufty tufty sort of way. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

And hopefully she'll get a little tummy tickle when there. Thumbs Up

I've realised the error of my ways doing "while you wait" stuff. More time they have it = more time the vallet chaps have to work on her. Whistle Whistle

My Fl2 should have been there on Monday, but there phone people quoted £350 for the service which my wife questioned and then last week got a call quoting £1600 which was reduced to £1342. It seems from Ronpenrose's other thread it is more expensive to change a cam belt on a Freelander than a D4 Confused To be honest I was bitterly disappointed that I was told that the first phone call wasn't from them it was from customer services and intimated that they couldn't be relied upon. This wouldn't of happened in the old Guava days.

Got the D4 booked in for June for a B service + brake fluid, forgot to check the price but will rectify said oversight. Embarassed Will pagemark Rob's post so I know what was available from them for next year. Thumbs Up
