I've ordered a new relay, drier refurb kit including new cap and exhaust silencer. Let's see where that gets me.

Hi everyone

Thought I'd post an update.

Took a while to get to, but I've now fitted the replacement parts. It was quite easy, all done in about 3 hrs including a break!

All was going well for a while. I was able to lower the suspension on demand no problem.

However I'm now facing another issue I didn't have before... almost opposite. The console switch to raise the suspension is unresponsive. No errors, no lights, just nothing. However the suspension does raise just fine when you lower and then drive over 30 as it should.

I'm so confused! My Google-fu has expired and I can't find an fix on this one!

Thanks chaps

No wisdom from the collective on offer for this one? Is it going to need a visit to a LR dealer?

Ok I know I'm talking to myself but... seems I need to do an eas reset as meddling with the compressor can cause it to disable - although I would have expected that to give me some messages.

I was looking at getting a reader anyway, don't want to spend hundreds - the icarsoft i930 seems good value? Or since I have an elm cable somewhere would the RSW 4D software be a better bet? I guess I can't resell that though.

Or anyone in Kent near Whitstable care to offer their time?

i feel your pain i had similar problems but mine turned out to be a dodgy brake light bulb that wasnt broken but had an internal tiny break that meant it worked one min and not another, as for the raise and lower switch have you checked the switch for water damage i dont know if you have a sunroof but if so the drains can leak and water can drip out of the mood lighting hole above ths console and the water gets in and affects the switch must be worth a try

Hi thanks for the suggestion.

Actually I remember checking the sunroof runners for cracks when I bought it!

No evidence of water damage though, and I don't believe in coincidences... ha.

You never know mine might still be a bulb, that's the only thing I didn't try. I used it about 5 times for short journeys with no issues before this switch problem started, so not 100% convinced it's fixed but seems promising. It's laid up now as we have a replacement and it will be going up for sale after the MOT is done.

Buy a IIDTOOL BT, it hurt right when you buy it, but you willnever regret it, well worth the money, superb support from Gap Diagnostic that makes it and you will save the money in and help you out when you have it in the car if something happens on trips.

And you can also do configuration on your car with it

Hei, quick update.

Since the car is going up for sale, and I found a bargain pre-owned icarsoft i930 on ebay (which also reads other cars generically) I went for it.

Well, there were ALOT of trouble codes. An assortment of control module comms, audio system, ABS,SRS the list went on. No I have just had the compressor off and the door off, so figured many may be to do with that. I also changed the battery, brake switch and suspension relay.

So I figured I'd start fresh, clear everything down, and see whats what. I haven't taken it for an actual drive yet as it's blocked in on the driveway. When starting, I have no warnings (no DTC's either). But still the suspension up / down arrows fail to light up. Before it was just the up arrow...

I'm hoping a drive and forced raise over 30mph might do something to help it?? Could it be the new relay is faulty and the old one was fine? Annoyingly I can't find it to swap back.

I know I'm talking to myself again, but posting in the hope someone can shed some light.

So after all DTC 's reset I took it for a drive. Over 30mph the suspensions raised no problem, no errors, no warning lights etc. And I can still lower the suspension fine.

The switch to raise the suspension however does absolutely nothing, whether starting at normal or lowered height. It's like I've not pressed anything.

After the drive I plugged the reader back in and have the following codes under the Instrument Pack section:

U0132 lost communication with ride level control module
U0159 lost communication with parking assist control module
There were some faults in the ventilation section to do with feet blowers which explains why they have always blown cold air, in related to this I'm sure. No faults in any other sections.

Now I think this is just telling me "the switch didn't work"?

Could this be linked to having a dud relay? I did the suspension dryer and exhaust valve and relay at the same time. I'm gonna have to order a new relay as I've lost the original, just seems fishy that my compressor is now fixed and this is now broken.
