RM, I have to agree with Narpy, look how the airbag splits if you were to have the unfortunate luck of a frontal impact, your badge is a projectile in waiting Confused

Damn it! Evil or Very Mad

Helpful photo though, it'd rather assumed that the whole assembly hinged out of the way...

Nah, you don't need a new airbag module, you can change the airbag emblem, I've done it myself.

Oddly enough, Beanie was selling them, send him a PM and see if he still has some. Thumbs Up

My best low cost mod was linking out the accessory socket relay with a bit of wire and two spade connectors. I can now charge my phone etc when the car is locked. And the cost of this mod was negligible.

It's not really a vehicle mod, but the best low cost addition to my D3 has to be roll of kitchen towel that i keep in the third row drink/bottle holder - with three kids, slightly clumsy wife (by her own admission) and a daft dog it's so useful & one of the kids can always grab it quick!

As an ex supplier of badges, the airbag badge is different to the standard badge. It's designed with pegs on the back to go through and fold over to stop the badge flying off on airbag deployment.

Putting a self adhesive larger badge on can cause najor damage if airbag activated and badge flies off.

Either way, mine was put back to standard and then traded for another, so that should fix it Thumbs Up

The standard badge is still nasty though! Rolling Eyes
