Thank goodness for a/c .....snapped whilst having a quick beer on way back to Gib last Saturday. Maybe not calibrated correctly but it was v hot. Apparently without a photo on here " it did't happen"

Yes, 43degC is hot. That's what we had in Death Valley last year (it was late September though). Hot enough for me that's for sure.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

It was a 'moving' temperature readout. We had been driving towards Zagora, across an area of desert that was just a vast expanse of rocky terrain, with just a vague track to follow. We were of course in direct sun, there is no shade in the desert!
The good news is that apart from the viscous fan which was fully engaged and making a right racket, the car performed perfectly normally, and the aircon was very effective set to 20 degrees auto.
Last month, in Spain we saw 50 on the Jag readout, in Granada. It was however, a readout after the car had been parked in the sun all morning. I could not touch the steering wheel for a few minutes until the aircon kicked it!
