Dogs, Whisky, Wellies - Now Horses...

There are a fair few here from the equestrian world, I'm sure, so let's see your four-legged friends of the hooved variety! Thumbs Up

Here are my incumbent two...

Amazing Mika. My daughter Poppy's current ride and the lucky boy that survived a car crash unscathed:

Toby (Westfa Dai Bach). Formerly Olly's pony, now 24 and retired:

Some previous faces...

Archie (The Millennieum Bug). Took Poppy to the PC eventing champs twice:

Quantock Puzzle. She was a real gem:

Saffron and yours truly. Olly's first pony.

Jasper. Grumpy little git but a good pony!

Smokey (Fofsway Woodsmoke) - a real stunner for showing.

Pepsi. The best first pony you could ask for and to a large extent it was him that taught Poppy to ride. The things they put up with!

Tried to find a pic of my old dobbin Rolo - a black Shire cross Thoroughbred but they must be on the old computer. Many others back before the days of digital photography too of course!

All look fab hossies. Thumbs Up

My boyz (dogs) were brought up with our field neighbouring a field of horses so they regularly got a kiss or nibble from them. Now we've moved away to suburban Cobham they absolutely love it when a horse & rider clops along our street. Thumbs Up

Plus they love the poo. Embarassed Embarassed

PS Did this chap forget his strides? Shocked Shocked

PPS Unless that's LfW's best board shorts. Whistle

My eldest son is in a 4 person Team from Aberdeen competing at Swalcliffe in the Animalife BRC Horse Trials this weekend.

A long way to go but they got a lot of Sponsorship from local firms.

Fingers crossed they do well!

Here's him and Friday where they stayed last night to break the journey - check the hoss pool!

All 4 travelled in our lorry so no convoy problems!

Wellbrow Duke, Hero to his friends, loves to compete at non affiliated show jumping, dressage and arena eventing as well as affiliated showing. A couple of weeks ago he met the Queen when he was part of a guard of honour for her at Windsor Castle and is taking part in a Pony Club Team jumping competition at Hickstead. Not bad for a lad born on Saddleworth Moor where he lived for the first 5 months of his life - he now prefers a few more creature comforts Laughing

Hopefully will be parked pretty close as went for garden club membership tickets.

Our first year, so hoping to get there about 10. If they do the dog competition well get Lottie to take our pup Rub (red lab) in the ring Smile
