You can't go wrong with either they are both quality parts, I have fitted both for customers and had no problems.

I second Flack the new protective surface on the Borg & Beck is great instead of having to de grease like in times past. I have used both also on my own D3's AF know their business. Thumbs Up

I bought a Borg and Beck rear set last week. Unfortunately, I wasn't vey pleased with the quality of them due to what I considered to be a casting imperfections on one of the non machined surfaces (I did think that the anti corrosion coating on them did look very good though).

Advanced Factors kindly sent out a set of TRW's to replace them with and I am more than happy with both the condition of them and the excellent service received from AF.

Cheers
Daniel

I won't matter which one both are a major improvement over the standard setup.

Daniel, would you mind describing the issue in more detail. I have an open query with the Borg units and wondered whether yours were along the same lines ?
Cheers,

Hello, fairly new to forum.
Bought a 2007MY D3 HSE couple of months back - what a motor!
Just done the front V8 brake upgrade today, I went for the TRW Dtec kit from AF.
Nice easy job with everything you need in the kit. Had Bodsy's brake bible to hand - very useful!
Going to renew brake fluid next, anyone done the bleeding using the IID tool? Easy enough?

I used delphi discs and EBC greenstuff pads been fine so far.

Ref fluid change suck out the fluid from the reservior and replace with new, Not sure on bleeding but would be very surprised if you needed any tool apart from the spanner for the bleed nipples.

On the IID tool you can bleed the system with engine running - it runs the pump while you are at the nipples with spanners as it were Shocked
Makes it a one man job or so I'm led to believe..

I done the V8 upgrade a few years ago and I'm needing pads changed, where did you get the EBC green stuff from?
