Hi peoples,
I had voice command, it worked fine in all modes (apart from never understanding me  )
Now it doesn't do anything. If I pull the switch, it literally does nothing. Nothing appears on the instrument screen, no noises, no voice etc. I've tried the diagnostic page and it says mic ptt is ok. And I can make phone calls over Bluetooth fine too, going through the head unit.
When I go to voice settings on the screen, occasionally add a voice is greyed out, and when it isn't it doesn't seem to do anything.
At about the same time, the sat nav has thrown its toys out. It's having issues reading the disc, I know why, there is a 'inch n arf' canyon across the face of the disc 
It stopped displaying the EU map on the side of the page, and every 30 secs or so it error messages to say disc read error.
My question is are the two related? Or is it just LR fault coincidence? And can I reset it at all?

what did you say to the voice ?
if you were rude, abusive or unkind it stops talking back...its female & they are good at silences.
I have never seen any mention of a reset on this part of the D3 system...but there again its never quit for me.
You have to be nice to "Kylie"...not that it makes her any better at understanding...so maybe get in the D3 switch on & say sorry.....it may work. BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics

Yes there related ..cure the sat nav and the voice will work again G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Wiggs- thank you for confirming my suspicion. It seemed too convenient that both went at the same time.
BL - I am fully swept up on the long silences, I'm still getting the treatment for buying the d3
