D4 Front Wing Dent Advice
Hi, I have been after a D4 drivers side front wing for few weeks now but have found current ones available are little expensive. However, I came across a D4 front wing from breakers at a resonable price but it has a dent located in the area above the side air vent (see images).
I don't have much bodyshop experience on dent repairs so thought I would see if anyone on this forum can advise if they think the dent repair on this wing would be a straight forward job considering the wing will be getting painted anyway? Or would it be a costly repair and would
maybe best to just buy a wing with no dents?
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks
John

from our experience paint repairs aint cheap which ever way you go,,,the metallic paint appear very expensive....hawk it around a few body shops and see what happens.....but in the end of the day you wouldn't want a naff repair on a very nice car....weve got bramble rash down both sides from non damaging events...but I can see the point of repair at the moment as we are likely to get more...

It's a very straightforward repair, wouldn't take much TBH and it would be as good as new. As your getting it resprayed, I can't see a problem. Mates rates about £100, your friendly local bodyshop, not your accident repair guys, £150-£200. It's labour and paint basically.

I would have thought the dent could be removed by paint less dent repair if you didn't want any filler used - it's amazing what a good repairer can do removing dents

Personally I don't think that's a big deal.....I had a large vertical crease down the passenger front door where a friend of my wife got her door caught in the wind and smacked it ..there was no paint damage and my local garage said they had a mobile guy that does those sort of repairs.....£65 later and it has gone completely, with absolutely no sign of it in any light....."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Nope, that's a pretty straightforward repair. Any body guy worth his salt can have that dent gone pretty sharpish, particularly if you've got the wing off the car anyway.
