Ive just been in my local dealer for a look didn't seem to have any particularly great deals (about 4% off), although not helped by the fact I would like one with an almond interior.
Oh well, back to dreaming.....Andy

I've had a bit of a scout about the dealerships of the U.K. on a mission not to have to buy a Disco Sport - there are definitely bargains out there. I think maybe I want a bit more of a bargain that they're willing to give.
Best deal in the UK at the moment has a brand new Graphite at £42k, that I could find in any event.
I'm trying to talk the boss into doing that over a DS.

I must admit I don't like the meteor trim in the Graphite, or the grey wheels, so lucky I can't really afford one right now Andy

OK - I am thinking along the same lines - three years then chop it in. This is fine if finances don't matter too much (wish it were such) - but clearly the first three years are the biggest lost and then often best to hold on for at least 5 years (with a warranty - mayhap). Makes more financial sense - so they say...!
Clearly money and desire feature highly, so each to their own. I am reluctant to chop mine in for an 'untested' new model until its been around for at least 2-3 years when the real testing by customers has taken place.....
Just a thought.... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black
2009MY Toyota Land Cruiser (Lc4) - Black
Still getting a D4, just think the D5 will be out of my reach so my plan is to get a later D4 and run it for a long time, so a nine month old Corris Grey D4 will soon be outside.

My thinking was the D5 will a) be a price hike and b) have issues I can't be bothered to deal with in its first incarnation. I've just bought a MY16 and intend to keep it for 5 years!
For info I used to always buy 3 yr old cars but they do loose quite a lot of value too so I think newer is actually less of a hit. (On both D4s I bought I lost about £10K in two years, though in fairness I do a lot of miles).*now enjoying* D5 Namib Orange HSE 68
