Thank you Robbie, I might have to make a purchase. Is there anywhere that is good to buy, or is evil bay as good as any?
Cheers Lee

Does the TC4 just plug in on a D4 or do you have to wire it in like you would on a D3?

Just to expand on my question, will the TC4 plug into the loom in the boot without mods or do you have to fit it like you would in a D3? Im guessing as Robbie hasn't just plugged it in, it's not that simple.

It can either replace or augment the normal remote unit located in the boot. The unit comes complete with suitable leads.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Ok brilliant. Was not wanting the normal remote, we know there is a good signal where it's parked and never know when it's being used so the timer isn't much use, but being able to text 20 mins in advance is a good option.
Are the leads already fitted with the plug for the vehicle as well or is that something that I would have to do? Are the leads correct on the normal TC4 as well as the advance? Any what exactly is the difference between the TC4 and TC4 advance?
Sorry for all the questions, I've read and read about it but it's not really clear to me yet.
Many thanks.

Great post!
Do you have any info on installing the module in the boot?
Am I right that you can just change the module in the boot from the standard unit to the TC4 using the existing loom?
Or keep both the standard unit and the TC4 with the Webasto Y-splitter cable?
Thanks!

I’ve bought one of these to fit in my D3, is there much to fitting Robbie? I’ve the instructions here that I printed from the web but they are a bit confusing.

Thanks for an excellent write-up.
I am having trouble with a TC4 in my 2013 D4.
What year is your D4, and what model of heater is it?
Mine is a ThermoTop VEVO and the TC4 comes back with:
Message NOT Executed: START (ERROR: Unknown error!)
Car is enabled for park hear and radio remote control, and the heater works perfectly from the screen etc, just not the TC4.
