A couple of MY 2016 queries
Just a couple of quick queries
Does a MY 2012 RLD sump guard fit a MY 2016?
Does the MY 2016 still need the RLD spare wheel protector. I'm sure there has been discussion on this but can't see it anywhereJoined the BMWX5 45e group

Dave when I went from MY2012 to MY2015 I needed a new sump guard from Ray and I had to slightly modify a piece of hidden plastic on the car in order to fit it. On the MY2016 the spare wheel is mounted the other way up so you will need a new protector from Ray like this

I have a MY 16 and its fitted with a plastic protection plate and apparently a bit of metal protection 'to give added security' (or some such wording I remember reading in the brochure). I haven't taken it apart so don't know how much extra security it actually gives.... obviously not as good as an uncle ray I guess - but may be enough to deter knob heads??2016MY Discovery HSE - Black
