Injectors.
Since I got my iid tool, one of the first things I checked with the injector values.
The cars been struggling to start at times and even on good days, it can crank for 2-3 seconds before catching.
Sometimes with the battery light flickering as it feels like it's going to stall on itself.
These were the first lot of value readings.

Injector range from 700-1200 and a healthy one should be near 1000.
The injector 5 was reading 1344 so over the range.
This was changed on the 24th of this month with a nearly new one that had done 10 miles according to the seller.
The new values are as such.

I'm also having issues with the new tool which is all up to date but keeps crashing when trying to read values. Going to talk to gap as I'm not overly happy at a 3 month tool failing.
Is this what I fear, being that the issues jumping from cylinder to cylinder and that the cure is to change all 6.
I'm curious why changing 1 injector has thrown the full lot out and changed them a fair bit from the first reading.

The IIDControl app will crash if you try to display 6 values in portrait mode like that. I've told Pat about it but it doesn't seem to have been fixed yet.
You can rotate your iPhone to display the 6 values in landscape mode and that seems to work just fine.
Changing one injector does typically move the problem to another injector. That's why I'm reluctant to do anything with mine until the car starts misbehaving.
The aim with this cylinder offset balancing is to maintain smooth combustion. If one cylinder is not burning efficiently then the next cylinder in firing order has to compensate for it. And so it goes on. That's pretty much what these values relate to.

Because Inj 5 was so far out, it may have been masking any issues with the rest of them.
Bear in mind, you need to do around 200 miles or so for the PCM to fully adapt
Having re-read your symptoms, it sounds as though you have a set of dead glow plugs, or more dying injectors. Mine would do exactly the same if I ran the FBH, or started the car without glow plugs...My D3 Build Thread

I remember when i got my injector fitting kit.
He spoke of £180.
That Ribble valley link is interesting.
How can they get it so cheap?

Not paying Land Rover tax
I got my first years books back from my accountants. Had a quick look through and found an oil pump job. I sold the pump out at £66, and obviously made a little money on it at that My D3 Build Thread

I've emailed to ask about would they do discount on 5 for myself.
Plus would they consider doing a larger group buy if there was demand for it.
This is for the injector in the link that Geoff linked.
I'll assume there is no issue with fitting it to D3 engines?

I'm a bit puzzled about the date range they quote on their website, it says they fit everything from 2005 to the present day on one listing and 2005 to 2009 on another listing. I thought the injectors changed to the piezoelectric type when Euro iv came in in about 2007. Am I right on this or did I imagine it?
