Al thanks for the info on the wheels,
I might just whip a front and rear off and give it a demo try and see how it fits etc, The wheels that i have bought fit the Discovery 4 but knowing my luck possibly wont fit the D3, if not will just sell them and get some more.....
I know this is a silly question but what is the wheel offset??
cheers

its the amount that the hub face of the wheel sits in comparison to the centerline of the rim, so if the wheel has an offset, the rim sits closer into the body, i,e the hub face is outside of the centerline of the wheel, if it has an inset, the hubface is inside the centerline.
In your case here, if the D3/RRS has a standard offset of 53, and you've got wheels with am offset of 58, the effect is the rim and spokes sit closer into the body, and quite possibly the brake capliers.

Al,
cheers for the reply regarding the offset, i know understand why its important tohave the correct wheels.
The wheels i question have an offset of 58 mm and the tyres are 255 x50 x20 so there will be a chance of rubbing.. I will just get another set of wheels that will defo fit the disco 3 like V spokes or some Stormers..
Thanks for you help Al.

RRS Rims
I am contemplating a set of 19" RRS as the 2nd pic. If they do not have the 111 weight rated tyres on, will I be able to fit 255 / 55 / 19 / 111 / V tyres to the rims ?
Cheers

Can anyone confirm if the 19" RRS wheels pictured below (curtesy of AndrewS) will fit a D4?
I know which fit the D3 but not sure about D4.

wheels n tyres
hi, was at lro peterborough and saw the black 22" stormer rep with 305 ltz`s on the silverline stand. thought they looked stunning. sadly the guys on the stand informed me they would rub on the d3 with the ltz`s, so reccomended either a more road biased tyre with the 22" or 20`s & 275x45`s with the ltz. dont know what to do, either way it`s a lot of dosh.
anyone got any experience of these silverline combo`s and anyone got a picture of a cairns blue motor with black wheels, not sure which to go for, stealth or bling!!
cheers.

I'm running 20" Stormers with 285/50 LTZ's.
The 50 profile gives a decent sidewall rather than the [imo] elastic band look on 22's.
You need rubber on a Land Rover godamit!! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I've not had great experiences with Silverline. Happy to take your money, enough said.......
And I dont think you can get 22" tyres weight rated high enough for the D3

thanks. agree the bigger sidewall might be better. think the 22`s would look awesome but too road biased.
got 19" rrs rims on at mo [think they v sports] should check load rating even though they were supplied and fitted by lr dealer [maybe especially because they were supplied by lr dealer!!] and they look too small to me but each to there own.
just clicked on the overfinch leeds ad at the top of the page, waitin for a quote coming back on 20" tiger with graphite centre but i`ll probably need to take out a new mortgage. saw some kahn`s advertised in lro too so still looking i guess. would still like to see a picture if anyone got black wheels on a cairns blue disco.
