many thks
have put some plusgas onto it
wonder if i can actually get onto it and also how easy it will come out
think it will be a suck and see exercise, main worry is it snapping in the strut and being in a world of
got some spare 6mm pipe and pushfit couplings so not worried about cutting it back if the pipe is damaged in any way
thought of putting it into off road mode, get some axle stands underneath , as i want as much room between the wheel and body as i can get , then use the iid to discharge the system
going to have a go at the weekend , weather dependent

Sorry to revive an old thread but I had the same fault.
Air bubbles around the voss connector, not the pipe.
I removed the connector (12mm) a little until the air stopped leaking and then removed it completely.
Looking down the hole with a small mirror and torch I could see a bit of rust where the black rubber seal on the voss connector would sit. I scraped around in there with a tiny screw driver, hoovered the remains out and for good measure I wound some plumbers PTFE tape around the threads on the voss. Refitted and this morning , no sinking.D4 HSE

danish , cheers for the great info
have bought myself a pressure gauge and isolating valve
so when i get round to it, will cut into the front passenger pipe, nearest to the strut , will then tell me if it's the strut of pipework
have fitted a new air tank, compressor , reservoir and front valves
passenger front strut drops when i pull the fuse over night
got to remove the inner wheel arch trim on both sides , as i've got some decent metal pushfits that i'm going to fit into the new front valve block, but will bubble test them first then move onto the pressure drop test
all good fun
thks again

I've also done front and rear valve blocks, air tank, refurb compressor and a n/s front damper narrowing down various leaks. Fun is not the word I'd use but all part of the Land Rover experience and worth it in the end IMO.D4 HSE

hi danish
maybe i should have reworded the fun word like this
wished to ensure 100% that the strut is faulty or not,
that's why i thought the pressure gauge with the isolating valve was the easiest way to prove it
did fit on the reservoir valve and air tank with metal pushfit fittings, instead of the Voss connectors
will be replacing the front valve block voss connectors with the pushfit ones as well
also bought a new air suspension exhaust silencer as some of old securing fixings are broke etc, looks abit of a pig to fit , as there's a loom there
still strange why the height symbol stays on the instrument panel display when in the access and off road height settings, goes out at normal height
have adjusted with the iid, but got to sort out the drop first before i go any further
