13 PIN ORIENTATION Query

On my MY16 Discovery I have found that the 13 PIN socket near the detachable tow ball has the flap hinged on the left hand side.

On previous vehicles the flap has always hinged at the top.

Has mine been fitted correctly for this particular vehicle, or has a mistake been made?

Hi, on the D3/4 the 13 pin socket is installed so the cover hinges from the side, so yours is OK Smile 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

They should all hinge left or right to accomodate the adaptor for the twin 7-pin electrics without fouling on the towing eye. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill.
