We're talking NOx. Your contribution, as you put it, damages people's lungs immediately. So does mine. I'm just hoping that, with all my emissions kit still in place, I'm minimising the damage. Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.

It would cost you a similar amount to have the EGRs blanked and mapped out as to replace one valve. Be aware that, if you replace the valve you may well need another in 35k, and then there's the other side to consider (if it hasn't already failed), it may put more stress on your turbo, your engine is being fed abrasive material, and not forgetting the danger of being suddenly left without power when pulling out of a junction.
