Headlights on New 4 Commercial

This has probably been answered before, I have had a quick look back but can't see anything. Question......

I've got 4 new Discovery Commercials on the fleet. The latest one has the fancy headlights as the non commercial. Is there a simple modification to activate the lights on the others or is it a full headlight change? Visually they look the same when the lights are off.

Do you mean the DRL's or something like High Beam Assist or corner lighting? FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner

Yes its the DRL's. On my new Commercial the DRL is a crappy single light. On another one we have just got it has the Xenons as standard which has the cool strip DRL's Just wondered if it was a simple mod or a full headlight replacement.

I think its new units more than likely.

You could replace the sidelight bulbs with good LED's and have them activated as DRL's or just do what i do and enable the Scandinavian lighting option

They'd all look the same then

You only get the fancy strip DRLs with xenons, so would be new light units I'm afraid.

Hmmm, that's strange. Mine was a new commercial in July and has the fancy xenon lights as standard. £870 + Vat each thanks to a stray pheasant through one of them. Have you got an old headlamp fitted in a new car or have they downgraded the spec? 11 RR 4.4 TDV8

The op is saying that it's his slightly older commercials that don't have xenon lights...............

His newest one does, or at least that's how I read the post

Right, I just read '4 new Commercials' and assumed they might be new since July/Aug, which should have them on. Obviously a bit older? 11 RR 4.4 TDV8
