"Vehicle raising slowly" - why ?

Have just had to change a wheel - in offroad height - and when I drove away from access height the front took ages to pick up to normal height. There was the vehicle raising slowly message and also the vehicle will raise when system cooled - what does this mean ???
D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Exactly what it says normally, hot compressor that needs to cool down

Confused - I didn't think it would be that simple. A mate of mine has an RRS and he had this message twice, the dealer replaced the compressor, should I be worried ??

Also what causes this overheating ?

Thanks, Nick

The compressor is protecting itself from overheating...this usually happens if you have raised the vehicle a few times in a short space of time Wink

might seem a strange question ...
after Off Road height for changing wheel ... what reasons did you have for selecting and driving away in Access height?

not critisising, just trying to understand the problem ?

No real reason - I changed the wheel in offroad height, then lowered the car. Then finished me brew, then went out.

I don't know how many times you raised the up and down, but I have never seen the 'raise when cooled' message. I have seen the raising slowly message many times, it means the air reservoir is exhausted, and the compressor is replenishing the air as fast as it can.

If you get the over heat message after only a couple of 'ups and downs' I would get the dealer to check it out. Maybe your compressor has a fault and is having to work too hard to replenish the system.

I don't think there's an issue TBH ..I've had this one or twice over the last 18 months ...and the manual states

MESSAGE
SUSPENSION
WILL RAISE WHEN
SYSTEM COOLED

MEANING
Air suspension compressor is
cooling. Lifting will resume
when compressor has cooled.

WHAT TO DO?
Wait for suspension to carry outlifting sequence.

Maybe the air intake filter is blocked
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Where is the air intake filter for the compressor? Confused
