Figured we all must have a "to do" list as there can't be many folk on here with a perfect Disco.
We learn to live with the faults, noises, vibrations and idiosyncrasies and when for a brief moment they are all gone - it's bliss... until...
So I have on my list:
Fix brake wobble - had new discs and pads 6 months ago so it may be related to the next one:
Fix sticky front calliper - makes a horrible squeaking sound when turning and might be binding so may be related to the next one:
Have wheel alignment done - pulls to the right but may be related to the sticking calliper (is there a theme here?)
Fix rear end creaking (hub bushes)
Fix broken air conditioning (rear pipes leak so need to blank them off - have the part)
Blank egrs - have the parts
Change terrain response switch - low ratio will not engage (but does work) - needs new switch
Fix leaking rear diff - have oil seal
Investigate random engine system failure message, suspect brake light switch
Investigate intermittent electrical fault when cold - lots of errors on starting which immediately disappear - probably needs a new battery
Track down terrible buzzing from behind dash or back of engine, requires loud music or windows open to conceal!
So there you go, nothing urgent but interested to hear what other have on their lists

Have ordered diff and TF box oils and if they turn up in time, will be doing that this weekend.
Just bought a clay mit from Halfords and will give the old girl a thorough clean and polish too this weekend.
I've got a slight wobble on braking so will get the wheels off and have a root around. Discs and pads all look fine so will give the calipers a clean to see if that helps.
Those jobs aside, the old girl is currently behaving herself.
That's not too bad - hope I don't end up with the longest list!

I have two to do lists. One for things that need to be done and another for things I'd like to do.
On the need to do list is change the rear lower arm bushes. Then get the rear alignment done correctly. It's currently out of alignment and trashing the rear tyres. I need to change the fuel filter and EPB shoes and springs could do with being replaced as I get the occasional squeak on pulling away.
However this is where the two lists cross over.
On my want list I had the V8 brake upgrade, front and back. This entails the fitment of 18" rims I've picked up. However before I can fit these, they need painting (I've chosen gloss black) and shod with new rubber, for which I'm waiting for cash!
Then I'd like a set of Xenon headlamps, maybe find a reasonably priced leather interior. Also fit an auxiliary battery as a summer holiday power source.
Otherwise my D3 is pretty much how I want it.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

Nodge68, wouldn't it of been cheaper to get a higher specced car in the first place? Or is it cheaper to do it your way?
Replace shock absorbers and airbags (Planning on going for Koni FSDs).
Finally get round to drilling out my rear diff bung and changing the fluid ( ).
LEDs in the front indicators and reversing lights (others done).
Mount some high quality resistors with heat sinks to the indicator circuits (in a well ventilated position).
Fit (after I've worked out how) my Hella projector modules in place of my fogs.
Sort out what I'm going to do re driving lamps this autumn.
Fit HID kits in both of the above.
Arrange an auxilliary fuse and relay box in the aux battery tray and wire up all my aftermarket stuff to it - may consider using transistors.
Replace rear reflectors with additional brake/reversing LEDs (waiting to be fitted) and if this upsets the CJB (cheap LEDs), sort out a way around it.
Re-fit my HSE 19" wheels and have a crack at refurbishing my 18" S types. 19s to be painted too if the others are a success.
Possibly replace the lower tailgate end trim.
Investigate source of water in the passenger footwell.
Replacement windscreen for winter, could well include the resolution to the above.
Possibly painting some bits of trim.
Get around to fitting the small silicon turbo hose.
Considering wiring up a DVD/media player and GVIF (particularly low priority)
Complete my new grille (hopefully this should be done soon-ish ).
Check air con system for leaks and re-gas.
Replace swollen wheel nuts.
Check and, if necessary, replace, LP fuel pump.
Fix PDC issues (all clicking) - been duff since buying the vehicle!
Possibly a replacement torque converter, this is not currently posing an issue at all, but I'm mindful not to leave it too late.
Edit: Yep, new I'd forgotten something: Replace ARB bushes - currently waiting in the garage

Jamie. It probably would be cheaper to buy a high spec to start with but my D3 was pretty cheap when I bought it. I'd only want leather seats for the look and better adjustment. I actually find them horrible to use. They are hot in summer, cold in winter and slippy slidy all the time. Having had leather seats in previous cars for the last 10 years, I'm shocked at how comfortable and user friendly the D3 cloth seats are.
Better braking only comes with the V8 which I wouldn't want to run. It's easy to upgrade, once you have the correct size wheels. I'd have to buy tyres, regardless of spec Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

Seems (happily) that most of the lists are for mods or "want tos" rather than repairs. I have a lot of repairs to do but she still drives well.
Costs me a fortune... but no complaints
