Correct, but all IIDTool BT share the same firmware base therefore a DA6410 will work on any supported vehicles:
• Range Rover L322 2002-05
• Range Rover L322 2006-09
• Range Rover L322 2010-12
• Range Rover Sport L320 2005-09
• Range Rover Sport L320 2010-13
• Discovery3/LR3 L319 2004-09
• Discovery4/LR4 L319 2010 and up
• Range Rover L405
• Range Rover Sport L494
• Freelander 2/LR2 L359
• Range Rover Evoque L538
• Defender L316 2007-15
In other words, you can join the group buy for your L494.
Ok, that's cool, So why I am told I need a DA6416 and why have all these different part numbers?

At first, each vehicle platform required its own IIDTool BT firmware hence the multiple part numbers. In time, we've managed to merge them all into one but the individual part numbers were kept for logistic reasons.
This is not the case for the regular non Bluetooth IIDTool which does require a different firmware per platform.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

What is the value of a non BT version with latest firmware installed? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

M3DPO: I think one or two were sold in the last couple of months, a quick search on here will point to the correct threads.
