Long time lurker but it's my first post so, er, hi everyone!

Anyone know if the transmission's forward gears detent (the one that pushes the lever towards the 3rd/4th plane) uses the same circlip arrangement? I've still got reverse, but the lever has gone floppy between the 3rd/4th and 5th/6th planes.

I'm ordering one of these anyway, but I'll have two if it's possible to do the same trick on the forward detent...

Doing this weekend but out of interest, from those that have already done, is you original clip ,worn/broken and what kind of difference do you find with the gearstick.
I don't have problems with reverse but stick has gone very floppy, hopefully this will cure
