Driver's window - auto up?

My driver's door window does not return to closed with a quick flick up of the button, as do the others. Is this a fault or by design?

It just needs a reset, details in your handbook, but in essence wind the window down, then fully up, release the switch for a second then select up again for a few seconds. You usually hear a click too.
