I had this on my DS and found it to be very annoying so ended up switching it off.

strange coincidence this thread. car was serviced yesterday. 5am drive to gym this morning and the lights failed to dip twice when I entered street light sections. Been fine up until now, was quite annoying.

Yes, easy to switch off. Or swap your mirror for someone else who wants it!

I think it's great and works really well and I drive mainly on country roads, the only thing that annoys me about it is sometimes when approaching a corner with marker posts on the bend and red reflectors on them, the car thinks that it's another car in front when they light up.

+1 on the 'I think it's great' vote but it did seem to 'learn' about reflective sign surfaces..either that or I did!

Wouldn't be without it now

Thumbs Up

It takes some getting used to. I gave up on it for a couple of years but have got back with it about four years ago and use it all the time now.

The desire to override it depends on the type of road and traffic. HGVs coming over brows of hills will be well dazzled before autodip does its thing, but it's fine for cars in that situation. I rarely if ever get flashed due to late dipping so it must be pretty good.

Easy to retro fit? How much did it cost you?

Great question - I seem to have the sensor on the RVM, though that doesn't mean to say there is anything there behind it (or connected to the right bits)! Is it just a quick S/W update required?
