I don't think it's a good idea Ronp..

He's been very busy preparing bumpers for r4ff, so can't be here at the same moment.
Let's better leave him alone and maybe he'll be able to deliver it before Xmass! Laughing

Sorry r4ff Twisted Evil
Thumbs Up

Gone through the bank to get my money back as no tracking information was forthcoming... got an email from Raul sounding very upset, but claiming he's sent the payment back... funnily enough it's not registered at all in my account.
Will give it one or two days in case the bank is being slow but I trust this man as far as I could throw my disco... I would not recommend the TRC bumpers to any one... steer clear of Raul Bermudez Curiel as he is only interested in your money.
Any one know any where in the UK to get a bumper made under a grand? Big Cry

Shocked

The title of this topic should definitely be changed to something like "TRC bumpers - Raul Bermudez Curiel - A WARNING" - otherwise some others may not be warned on time Evil or Very Mad

Experience with Raul was a pain in the a... as well
Finally two sets of bumpers arrived - but paint job was in poor condition!
I got them sandblasted and coated them myself
Winching with it is not the problem - fixing points and stability were more of a topic Sad
Still would not want to do without them though esp with the back bumper with spare tire holder
Peter (discoveryparts.de) is working on an own one (aluminum and steel versions) -so better stick with those!

Cheers Sebastian

Well that is a result, not the one that you were initially after, but good nevertheless. Thumbs Up

I always thought that Germans were a very precise & committed race.
Doesn't seem to be the case though nowadays.

Had a similar issue with a bike part I ordered in from Germany a few months back!
I had to chase & chase and heard nothing, then had to start proceedings with PayPal before I got any acknowledgement & then my money back.
Also got a German supplier of mine who used to be most dependable a good few years back, now they're pathetic in fulfilling my business and even downright lie to me re delays & shortages.

Maybe it's the Germans who should leave the Common Market!

Raul is a Spanisch name and so is Raul - and whats that thing about race?
...don`t get me wrong but did you even read the diffrent posts??
in general - generalizing is never a good argument!

Cheers

Sebastian, it was "tongue in cheek"' not meant as a serious comment.

There are alternatives.

Have a Kaymar rear bumper with spare wheel gate.
Fitted a 100l extra tank under the car where the wheel used to be.

In the front I have an ARB winch bumper. Modified with ARB D2 bullbar.

No delivery problems.

Look at the pictures.

The ARB bumper does look good but it's a bit too expensive here in the UK and other bumpers give better approach angles. Will keep an eye on the discovery-parts Aluminium bumper and see how that pans out first. I'm also liking the look of the Kaymar rear bumper they sell but it's over £1000 without the wheel carrier! o_o
