Ordered my Valeo blades, can't wait to fit them, the noise from my O/S is driving me to distraction....If you never try, you'll never know...

Wiper blades again....a new angle!
Not another posting on this topic, but hear me out because the problem I have lived with since the car was new has now been solved.
Took the car in for its second service to local LR dealer about a month ago. I told the service receptionist that I was experiencing the usual wiper judder and said that I thought that LR had improved the blade design. I was then told that they were not aware of this but would phone LR whilst servicing the car. However, they confirmed that they normally applied a “paste?†to the screen to stop the problem. Short-term fix?? I suggested.
Five hours later………
On collection I was informed that LR had said that there had been no change to the blades but whilst carrying out the service, they had discovered a fault with the wiper arms and they would be replaced under warranty….no charge.
Two weeks later…….
Wiper arms replaced. Rained the next day. Guess what? Yes you’re right……Juuudddder, back with a vengeance 100% worse, with an additional loud click as the blades changed direction.
Two days later…………
Return visit to dealer. Was informed that LR had changed the wiper blade design and although the new ones were in short supply, they just happened to have some in stock and I could buy a pair if I wanted. I bought a pair (£32.65 Pt No: DKC500230). They gave me the old ones and said they could be kept as spares.
Next day……… it rained.
Guess what…………No you’re wrong this time………Absolute silence, problem sorted!
So, I can’t say whether it was the new blades or a combination of the blades and re-angled wiper arms but I’m more than happy that the problem has gone away.*Disco3 7-seat Auto

I still haven't got my Valeo blades, ordered from Speeding.co.uk. Those who have ordered from there, how long did you have to wait? If you never try, you'll never know...

Since starting this post, last June, I have now done about 15k miles with the new blades and they are still totally silent. I would have expected to have changed them by now, but they're still fine I was taught to be cautious.

just fitted a pair this morning and as they say silence is golden. Did have to wait over a week in order to get them from speeding.co.uk but its well worth it. Not missing my R32 too much

Pair of Valeo UM 665's fitted this morning (a little trouble getting the old drivers side one out)
A bit miffed that they've been labelled up for drivers on the continent....
