Sorry - but I object to Ten's implication that claiming under warranty for new blades is not justified because of 'wear and tear' - or that such a claim might be fraudulent. If it came to it, I wouldn't have ben bothered about paying for a new set of blades - but why should I? The original blades were noisy from day one and the first set of replacement blades (with subsequent 'adjustment') made no difference whatsoever. I don't expect to pay over £30k for a vehicle and have to put up with that noise. I didn't have the problem with any of my three previous D2's - so why should this one be any different! I think the fact that the new blades are totally silent, speaks for itself.I was taught to be cautious.

Totally agree with you Harlequin. I have been fed the line that the tropics cause the blades to malfunction . This sort of response is not good enough and neither is the issue of a diff leak I brought up in the Oz section being assessed as normal 'sweating'.
any one else care to give an opinion on the leak/sweat dilema?

Is it worth twisting the wiper arms to stop the judder? or should I just buy some new blades, has anyone got the part number or a picture so I am not sold the old type?

although I don't get to use the wipers as much as you, when I have they are crap in one section and nothing I did (as per the suggestions from this site) made them any better. just bought and used for most of the day the ones linked to by Desert Traveller. took the oem's off, no cleaning or anything and the Aunger ones just worked and silent all day.

I have asked my dealer in the Netherlands, he said these are RHD only . Is there a difference in RHD and LHD wipers?TDV6 HSE Stornaway Grey, black interior
Valeo X-TRM UM665. Had these on my last car (similar problem, although not as bad) and they were the spiders pyjamas. Have just fitted them today (sadly paid rather more for them to source locally and try them for fit in the car park) and they seem to solve the problem.
You'll need two of them, as they come in single packs.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Yes there is, the leading edge is in the opposite direction, the latest ones for LHD are DKC500220
Note that the above part numbers are detailed in a TSB dated March 2006, so it's possible that there may be superceded part numbers - although if the dealer tries to order 'old' items, this will be highlighted on their system
