You have to use both. Steering wheel controls to start with until you activate the device. Then I used an IPAD
The process is fairly simple. I would suggest you register online and verify your account indoors. Then go and plug the device in. Obtain a code from the device and enter this into your online account. This will generate an activation code which you enter into the device via the steering wheel controls. Once activated connect via the App.

thks pjm, is that the gap web site
will do that now then
haven't got the cruise control steering wheel controls , only that radio ones, asssume that doesn't matter
was that an updated version then in flashing the ecu , gulp
or do i assume it has to do that every time it's updated , same as a computer needs to update the ecu
will be good to get the time on the instrument panel, lol
thks again

Yes. I didn't receive my first email and had to resend the request
The app is on the app store.
I did the reboot for the MY07+ upgrade and again to disable the front parking sensors. The radio comes back around a minute after rebooting

thks,
the temptation got the better of me and went out to the car after registering and activated the unit
then like a numpty i hadn't refitted the map sensor yet, took it out for cleaning
will refit then rescan , as i've got an airbag light on
didn't see the clock for the instrument panel, but assume it doesn't help with the map sensor out , lol
thks again for the help
this was some results ,

hi
just picked one up today from island
345 plus the vat
found that was the cheapest place
got to sort it out and get it connected to my ipad
thks again for the recommendation
How can that be?
Dan @ Duckworths price is £396 inc vat posted.
Unless I'm missing something or something is misleading,
Dans price is £396 and you've paid £345 plus 20% so £414
I always thought inc vat was already added, and plus vat was to be added.
Can someone confirm/agree or disagree with me?

No problem,

thks
am slowly going through it
this is what faults i've got so far
trying to resolve them , checked all the wires underneath the seats so now think of taking the steering wheel off and checking the wire underneath the airbag
as on the iid it also says no steering wheel controls but have the radio side,
airbag took turned up, the small hook one
just trying to find out what the fault codes mean and how to get a better explanation in resolving them
update , these are the codes u may get if the airbags are missing
