Finally, my 150db Air Horn has arrived and the weather report has changed from wet Saturday to Dry all day So I think I may be fitting my new horn on Saturday after the towbar has been fitted

And I will have a hunt tomorrow for the universal spotlight wiring kit I have so that I might even be able to get the spotlights working as well.

The full spotlight wiring kit has been found So that is at least 1 job for tomorrow afternoon, but after opening the box for the air horn, I am not convinced that I am going to be able to fit the horn without buying some brackets. So may have to leave that job for a couple of weeks.
I am pleased with how the lights look though.

Today went pretty good. Land Anchor now fitted although is going to take some getting use to looking at lol And I managed to get the spotlights wired up and working, although they are running the road legal bulbs for now, But as soon as my 100 watt bulbs come, they will be going on. I ended up cutting the spotlights original wiring and creating new wiring with additional plugs to allow the spotlights to be unplugged whenever the grill is removed.
I retro fitted the air horn and found that I may not have enough room for it where I want it to go, So got to re-think that.
Also found out that I hadn't sealed one of the spotlights well enough. So it allows a little water in when the car is jet washed.
I have also now got a roof box for it, but not sure if it is the right roof box for what I want.

Hi Jae, your cars looking I really want to do a few more things to mine but the last 10 weeks have been dragged back by an awful cough bug that doesn't seem to want to go, been to docs several times and to be honest feeling very tired. I really want to get past this and spend some time with family and my disco. Sorry to babble on, keep up the thread m8 I enjoy reading it, cheers Neil

Hope you feel better soon, I used to have a persistent cough that couldn't be diagnosed for over 6 months then during an appointment with another specialist they found out that my cough was down to asthma, I was then put on a brown inhaler and the cough hasn't been back since. Might be an avenue to explore. What mods are you wanting to do to your car?

I decided that I CBA to wire the camera to come on with both manual turn on and auto on with reverse lights. I have left it at auto activation by reverse lights, I also decided that routing a wire is too much hassle, so for under £6 I have bought a set of wireless transmitters to try out. If they turn out to be rubbish, then I will route a wire.

Not sure if I posted this or not, but the LR dealer found a screw in my tyre, Today I had it removed and the puncture repaired and the screw is the same as the ones that keep appearing on my front porch, The psycho next door as a parting present before he went away for a few days kindly screwed a screw into the tread of my tyre
But the tyre is sorted now and I had lunch on a beautiful quiet beach.
Psycho is now back from his break away, and I am back to being a prisoner in my home again but at least got to have a great day out before he got back.
Next weekend is set to be horrible weather so the additional mods to the car are off the cards for now. But I have now got a roof box as a project as well as a trailer tent and trailer that need modifying and upgrading. So this summer I am going to be kept very busy.

Got an agreement in place with the police and other authorities involved. A camera being put in place will only make this person much angrier and much more dangerous. So holding back for the moment, I know that the police, social services and the housing association are trying to find him somewhere to move to. So he one day fairly soon when a suitable property comes up, he will become someone elses problem.
I have got 3 meetings next week to do with this situation and it has cost me over £1000 so far in out of pocket expenses to deal with! And I WILL be recouping my costs and going for compensation for the way this has been dealt with. The police and housing association will have a law suite actioned against them really soon.

The Discovery is only gaining 4 new bulbs this weekend. 2 x 100 watt spotlight bulbs in place of the standard bulbs and I have got a different set of LED bulbs which will hopefully actually be the colour specified in the advert to put in the indicator holes as in my opinion, but for the fact that the DRL white light flashes between the indicator flashes, when faced with the sun head on, you cannot see the indicators that well, so I feel for safety if anything, that additional indicator lighting is needed. The latest bulbs which look similar to the projector style LED sidelights I had before but on a much larger scale should do the job nicely.
The air horn on the other hand as I didn't really consider the fact that it would need a relay and it's own loom is on the back burner for a couple of more weeks, as I am going to need to add a couple of brackets as well as buy a spot light wiring kit and possibly buy a 2nd air horn.
I really need to get my spare grill and the part worn tyres sold to pay for the next lot of upgrades.
So apart from the bulbs, The Discovery is just going to be washed and driven for a few weeks, especially as a few components on the Mondeo are starting to need replacing.

Got to love people who can't keep their hands to themselves.
I parked up in front of the Arcade in Old Town Hastings to attend a meeting at the Stade (NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!)
And some bellend decided to be clever and take my towball cover off (Genuine Land Rover one) and place it neatly between the towball and plate for the towbar. It was put in there dead straight and central.
The most annoying thing is, the car was in the line of my eyesight the whole time, and I still missed whoever did it doing it.
What a weird thing to do!
I am hopefully going to order the wiring kit for the airhorn tonight if I can find one at a good price. Too many idiots on the road need reminding that other road users are behind them who can actually drive and want to get to there destination this side of the next millennium
The stade = Dirty sticky tables and wallet robbing prices. Luckily drinks were covered as expenses. And the meeting was set to be at the White Hart, but upon arrival, bearing in mind I set the location, we found the pub was shut for refurbishment with the old and new furniture spread across the car park, so had to convoy it down to the Stade. Sadly I was the only one with a Land Rover.

100 watt bulbs fitted to the spotlights and projector LED indicator bulbs fitted and the verdict is, if you say you didn't see me or my indicator, then you shouldn't be behind the wheel of any vehicle!
These were the first additional led Amber bulbs I bought, clearly not Amber on any level!
