Integrated Bluetooth Audio Solution
So since getting our Disco4 the other month, I've been looking for an integrated Bluetooth audio solution as it was something I liked in my MY12 RRS and I have recently got and fitted this. It's a tune2air Bluetooth adaptor and works brilliantly with the LR 30 pin 'i' connector.
It allows control of the iPhone/iPod via the dashboard buttons or the steering wheel and will work in parallel to the B/T phone connection. 8)
Cost me £47 from Amazon.
A few pictures of it installed and of the display screen.
Worth looking at if you want an integrated B/T solution. :

It's great, I've used it for a few days now and it's so much easier just getting in the car and not having to connect the phone up to play music. Works with Napster too which is my main music source.

Alternatively, buy a 64gb usb memory stick & fill it full of music & play direct from there

You can get a bluetooth receiver for £4.99 to plug in the aux socket of the D3.
Far cheaper, not quite the same functionality but most select from their phones anyway and means you can use spotify as well.
Search on the forum for it, was posted yesterday.

@ dubbs - Yes, well aware there are £4.99 versions, but for me, I'm far happier having it nicely integrated like this
Also, this is better quality than the AUX input, having the premium HK sound system, it does make a difference. To me this was as close to a 'OEM type' installation, with it all neatly out the way in the center armrest.
@ Health_DA - yes, there's always the memory stick option, but it's not particularly 'dynamic' is it, I listen to a fair amount of current music, so the constant updating just becomes a ball ache.
I used to use something similar (kitsound bluetooth) adapter plugged into the LR ipod ACM module thingy. Gave me bluetooth in my old D3...TDV6 HSE Lux (2014MY)

Assume your phone does not have to be iOS for this to work as I have a Samsung Android S4?
And is the 30 pin iPhone connector only available through LR?

Tune2air works perfectly with Android phones. It works better with iPhone, as it displays the song name on the display. However, streams perfectly with Android.
It really is the only product that properly works as a bluetooth audio integration with LR. But I couldn't find one in the UK, had to buy on eBay and bring it in from the states.
Apparently they are stopping manufacturing the Tune2Air version that we have here, so if you need one, get one ASAP!!!

Does anyone know if this will work with Spotify, as in would I be able to control Spotify from the screen?

I listen to spotify every day with tune2air. Using android the song name doesnt come up on the screen but the steering wheel controls will forward and reverse tracks perfectly.
Same for the controls on the touchscreen.
In essence, it works perfectly!!

I've just bought one for my D4
It is a ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000
They seem to be discontinued in the UK, and Amazon.com wouldn't ship to the UK from the US when I tried.
There are usually several on eBay and they seem to go for £50-£70 often listed as Audi/VW/Merc although it is the "WMA1000" that you want with the old apple 30 pin socket rather than the ones with the attached USB/aux lead.

Do you know what happens if I use the USB type (WMA2000)?
I suppose it should work the same way since I have full control over a USB stick (with full steering wheel bottons control, track name etc. on screen)?
