OK,update as promised,
I didn't have any luck at all with the extractor kit, it seems that my plugs are REALLY STUCK, tried on 2 of the snapped plugs, cylinders 2 & 3, same result both times, the extractor basically pulled the threads out that I'd tapped..
On the plus side, I was able to drill out and re- tap the threads that actually hold the plugs in.
On the third snapped one, Cylinder 6, I decided not to do anything, I'll explain why in a minute.
This is cylinder 6 plug, as you can see the electrode has snapped off flush with the top of the plug, I had a go at drilling the electrode on a couple of the plugs that had came out undamaged, in a vice, and couldn't get it to go straight without running off centre and coming out of the side of the plug body, so I've decided to leave this one as it is.
This is the tap going in to number 2, you can see number 3 has been tapped and an attempt made to extract the plug, it failed
having then spent a sleepless night thinking about my options, I came up with a plan,
Reassemble and plug 2&3 with cut off bolts, to prevent the plugs coming loose and shooting through the bonnet when the engine is running, wait for the temperature to drop, and see if she'll start with 3 working plugs........
If yes, fine, if not, spend another sleepless night thinking about the next step
