Let's not stick our heads in the sand.
Land Rover does not have a top notch reliability reputation. And in an era of booming luxury car sales Jaguar has failed miserably in attracting new customers.
Jaguar's situation under Ford is understandable because Ford has run it's own luxury marque (Lincoln) into the ground as well. U.S. automakers have been reasonable marketers to the masses, but not the classes.
The LR brand seems to be doing quite well, despite its problems. But hopefully, those problems are behind it. Personally, my LR3 seems top notch in build quality and reliability. And I know many people who either own LR products or wish they did because there is a definite cachet in ownership. If LR can put the past behind it, and quality continues to improve, then the future looks bright.
But let's not ignore someone's valid points due to the bombastic style used. 8) '06 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Heavy Duty package, Satellite Radio, Luxury Package
