I have version 3 installed, on doing a search for modules it finds the module and gives me all the information about it but I can't find it in the CCF file or anywhere else.
It is not the BT version. It can when others can't,

Yes you can
A simple email to Gap, 1/2 an hour later a reply instructing me how to do it, another 1/2 hour and I've got it working
Although I am a little disappointed that you can't just press the green switch and speak the recipients name as you could with the Parrot I have just removed, or have I got something wrong? It can when others can't,

You have to program the names and numbers into the car itself to do that - which means that they are not phone specific - but is also a chew to do
You can pull the green button twice to dial the last number - and just the once to get it in to the phone book (From memory that' where you end up!) and then use the two up/down buttons on the steering wheel to scroll through the names/numbers and then a pull on the green switch dials it - whilst doing this, you see the name on the display in front of you and if you pause the number. Mark.

^^^^ that's the way I do it, just scroll alphabetically. Top tip, if you've got a number "home" or "SWMBO" store them as "0 Home" or "0 SWMBO" then they come up first. 0 = zero not 0 = Oscar.

How exactly do you do that?
Scrolling up and down is ok, but one click per number is a bit slow with the Parrot (which I didn't like for other reasons) you could jump alphabetically or say the name, although this was not particularly clear as it is spoken with a French accent
DSL; that's a good tip I already do it but I use an "a" prefix, I could do it with the numbers I us most.
Please remember I've only played with it for 10 minutes or so, at this stage I'm grateful I get it working on my new D4 heated wheel It can when others can't,

You can press a letter on the keypad ( on radio ) to jump to that letter in the contacts .
If you have the voice button .. Go into settings on the touch screen and choose voice .. You should be able to add names / numbers from thereG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
If you have the voice button you can also use the command "Phone Dial Number" speak the number, which I do sometimes, all 10 numbers at once, and it speaks back the number to confirm and you say yes and it dials it. Almost never makes a mistake - but that could be because i live in Solihull so speak the same language Mark.
