Myself and quite a few others on here use Team Valley Land Rover they are an authorised Land Rover Service centre so they are like a main dealer but without the showroom and the costs associated with a main dealer. They have won numerous customer service awards and after using them for the past four years I can see why Cheers Ian

Where are you buying the car from ? If its a dealer could they not do you a service deal ?
Team valley do have a good name as Dan says. They only use LR parts.

there is also spannermonkeys at Washington. great service and very honest marsha Dolan and Peter Ellis run it. both very knowledgeable and reasonably priced as well. as a guide they charge about £500 for timing belt changes on a D3

I'd echo the recommendations for Team Valley also.... Excellent bunch.
If you head up Alnwick way, there is Mastora, who I've used in the past and was very happy with their service "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Thanks all, appreciate the comments. Getting the car from lloyds in carlisle but rather head east for the servicing. So looks like team valley is perfect

Im currently looking to get my D4 serviced it is requiring a B service price comparison
Stratstone Newcastle - £399
Team Valley LR - £395
Durham 4x4 (Bowburn) - £305
Hope this helps D1 200TDI 3 Door (Most expensive Land Rover ever as it got me hooked)

Yes, I've found Stratstone a lot more competitive now than a few years ago (probably due to the business TVLR takes off them ) but if you want good service TVLR are still the best bet.

Stratstone have really dropped their prices, around June/July time when I had my last D4 serviced Stratstones quoted nearly £600 for the B Service and TVLR charged £395.72 inc VAT
I think even if TVLR were a bit more expensive than Stratstones I would still use TVLR Cheers Ian

Even though I know one of the guys at Stratstone I would never choose to take my car there, mainly because of poor service in the past.
TVLR treat me & SWMBO exceptionally well, never had any issues with them & there is an element of trust, I've also had to use Mastora in the past & found them to be just as good as TVLR but my distance to travel is a lot more.
There are other forum members who use TVLR on a regular basis as well. Paul.
