Many Thanks for the info guys. I have just had a quote for my D4 second service from the main dealer in Kelso, who supplied the car and did the first service, of £620. Based on your comments re their qualitity and their quote being £200 cheaper it looks like I will be heading to TVLR.

I would have no hesitation in using Lloyds in Kelso as I have had very good service from them in the past,but as you say,why pay £200 more when you don't have to ? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Hi there , for you guys that normally use Lloyds in Kelso did you take your motors elsewhere in the end, I have used Lloyds for years but I have recently got hold of an older D3 so would rather use an Indi but I am struggling to find one locally. I can't believe we don't have a good indi in the Borders considering the amount of 4 x 4's around here.

You are right,you would think there would be,considering the number you see around the Borders .....why don't you get Disco Mikey down ?...plenty of advantages in getting it done on your drive/place of work.. I've found Mastora in Alnwick very good. My only experience was in an FL2 which I managed to crash into a ditch - Mastora had a look at it and confirmed it was driveable but would need a headlight repair. As it would be an insurance job, they didn't do it ( I was on holiday and just passing through) but they didn't take any money for the check. They had it up on the ramp and gave it a thorough going over before letting me loose on the road again.
Just goes to show that, even with Landys, the part most at risk of failure is the behind the wheel. 2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze
