Hard luck Allie, Don't you find yourself getting paranoid with the D3?
I do, I now find the most remote parking bay, well away from the "normal" cars, I always park on the end of a row, and leave a HUGE gap to any car next to me, and If someone pulls up alongside whilst I am sat in it, I will actually move to a parking bay with at least 2 spaces each side.
I have no parking 'dings' yet though. It pays to be careful.
Gareth
I recognise all of that behaviour, I am also to be found inspecting each slde of the car should some one have sneakingly parked next to me when I was out of site, and if a shopping trolley has been abandoned in the wind close by to my car, i have anxiety attacks as I race towards it to check it out.
How sad Allie

Allie,
I had the same happen to my DIIa today in Liverpool (get my D3 on Sat!) anyway I got the reg No. of the van that clipped my drivers side door mirror and smashed the glass - I found the police helpfull and they'll be contacting the van driver for failing to stop after an accident - I think it's an endorsable offence!
Thought I'd spoil his day like he spoilt mine and hopefully make him think twice from doing it again!
Carl
Thanks for your comments, I did think of the police at the time, but as it is a small scuff I felt that he would be knowing I have all of his details. I can not believe he did not see me sitting in it, must be the privacy glass 8)
Hope you enjoy your D3 on SaturdayAllie

I went through all this with the Boxster, one of the reasons I got rid and got the D3.
It's lovely and shiney now but I am not going to lose any sleep about dings and things, especially as now the wife drives it most of the time
The slightly battered ones look meaner, now that's tempting fate.

Mind you, if you have tinted glass in the back then it does look a little van like.

Especially on the Black and other dark coloured D3s. You can hardly make out the windows once it's got a little bit of road dust to blend in. Coffeecup
