Anyone know this one?
I'm considering going to look at this tomorrow but was wondering if anybody knows anything regarding this vehicle? Also is there anything from the advert that I should be concerned about........other than the walnut trim

Looks ok, original 'enhanced' SE spec typical of the year with evidence that the brake recall has been done. I suggest that it has been film tinted rather than the privacy glass claimed.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
Don't know the car, ad reads ok, nothing stands out.
It's all down to what it looks and drives like in person really, there are members close that I'm sure would assist in accessing it.
At 162k, I'd be thinking about doing the belts again to be sure, and a full on service all filters fluids, diffs gearbox, transfer, the lot so factor that in
As it's an auto, give it light throttle through the up changes on the test drive to censure the box is smooth and has no shunting or judders

Thanks both for your advice
I did think the glass looked too dark to be genuine privacy glass too! What do you mean by "with evidence the brake recall has been done"?
How much would I be looking at for the belts and a full service?
I initially had my heart set on a black or dark blue HSE but there's none coming up anywhere near me so I'm kind of rushing my decision a little to get one before Christmas! Although saying that there was one on Gumtree in Gloucestershire, but something about it just doesn't seem right to me!

Iceman08 I can pop down in the morning and take a quick look if you like. I can not give you the full mechanical report that others on here can but happy to make sure it at least looks as tidy in real life as in the pictures. Make sure everything goes on and off and works etc.
Maybe Iggy can come along with a few others, a bunch of forum members pulling it apart on his lot should lower the price
The ad does say any AA or RAC inspection welcome, I'm sure a D3.co.uk inspection will be to, even if it is slightly more invasive Altox GSM FBH controller thread

It will need the drivers seat foam replacing by the looks of things too - fairly easy job - cost about £140 with a new heating element. Mark.

Mike.
Sorry I haven't replied sooner but that would be amazing if you could and massively appreciated
The seat foam is another way to get the price lowered a bit if needed, along with if there is no evidence of the belts being done! Is there any reason why it wouldn't have Xenons other than they've been removed or damaged?!

Back in the early days there were some odd-ball changes with specifications with even some lower spec cars challenging the model above. Some specifications were almost random at times so there is a chance this was the way it left the factory. I can certainly remember a few HSEs leaking out of the factory with the wrong lights and being corrected either before delivery or just when the owner noticed (if at all).
The online LR database (Topix) does not list the specification at manufacture for the older vehicle (at least not on my access) but quite a few of us can check the VIN against the software installed at build, which could provide some clues.

Thanks for the info, it all makes a bit more sense to me now! Would it be easy enough to add Xenons or would it not be worth the hassle/cost? Also how does a D3 trained eye know they are not Xenons......the colour of the light?!

Adding Xenons is a very popular modification. It probably requires a change in the vehicle's software to avoid the start-up flicker, but there are many members and sponsors on here that can do that for you.
The light units are visibly different, even when off.
