Yes it is normal for there to be oil present in those hoses, when I took the lower end of that hose off, quite a few drips came out, luckily onto an old blanket I was lying on. I went for an original LR hose too, silicone obviously good but don't consider economically viable.

Redgull, I am in Haywards Heath and have a good one spare. You can have it for nothing if you collect. I will go and take it out of the rubbish bag, just in case you want it2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Not taken wrong way at all. It had only done about 10,000 miles before my preventative maintenance schedule saw me replace with silicon. So, it probably has another 50,000 miles left in it 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
